With Christmas right around the corner fitting in a workout at the gym can be a struggle. Trust me I totally get it having a busy schedule during the holidays. With shopping, errands and travel the holidays can feel a little hectic (to say the least). In the past I’ve given up some self-care doing yoga or working out at MVP Sports Clubs because of the craziness of the season. But not this year. Here’s why I’m making time for working out at MVP this holiday season:
1. Self-Care is Important
You’ve probably heard me talk about this a few times on the blog or social media, but seriously self-care is really important. Especially during the holidays when this time of year can feel slightly insane with a packed schedule and endless to-do lists. I realized that it’s ok to say “no” sometimes and make more time for what’s important like fitting in my yoga class on Tuesdays and Thursdays at MVP Sportsplex. Making time for myself gives me better awareness and the opportunity to do something I really enjoy.
2. It Gives me Structure to my Day
Since I work from home the days can seem to drag out during this winter season. It gets dark so early now and the snow can deter me from leaving the house. If I make a workout at MVP a priority by setting a time and date in my schedule it gives my day some structure. If you’re like me and work independently or if you’re home from college maybe you can relate. Try a workout or two during this season to add some structure into your own schedule!
3. Working Out for 20 Minutes is Ok
As I mentioned my schedule is packed this season with parties and a lot of shopping still to be done. Instead of feeling bad if I can’t workout for long period of time, I’m reminding myself that even if it’s just 20 minutes it’s still a workout. Even 20 minutes at the gym is better than nothing at all. Am I right? Honestly, I’ve still felt refreshed and ready to tackle my holiday list after a small workout at MVP Sports Clubs.
