Valentine’s Day is right around the corner (February 14 to be exact)! Which means it’s time to start planning your date night and make a reservation ASAP. If you need some Valentine’s Day date ideas for where to go for dinner, a cocktail or dessert you’ve come to the right place. I’m sharing my favorite date night spots in Grand Rapids that are perfect for Valentine’s Day.
Divani
Cory and I love doing date night downtown at Divani. This restaurant is so cozy during the winter and the food is phenomenal. They are also offering a special Valentine’s Day menu for couples that looks really good (I would definitely order the scallop risotto). They also have incredible cocktails (Cory loves their Old Fashioned) and extensive wine list.
Lumber Baron Bar
Looking to enjoy a fancy cocktail for Valentine’s Day? Head to the Lumber Baron Bar inside the Amway Grand Plaza for a fun cocktail or glass of wine. Cory is a big fan of their Yooper Old Fashioned that’s smoked tableside with cherry wood chips. This warm and inviting bar is romantic and perfect for enjoying a cocktail on Valentine’s Day.
Grove
From the delicious food to the incredible service you can’t go wrong spending Valentine’s Day at Grove. Along with their regular dinner menu they will also be offering some special features for Valentine’s Day that look amazing (the lobster scampi sounds so good). Also, I would highly recommend ordering Dilley’s Favorite Butterscotch Pudding for dessert. Just saying…
Bowdie’s
If you haven’t been to Bowdie’s in East Grand Rapids this would be a perfect spot for Valentine’s Day. You might be familiar with Bowdie’s in Saugatuck or Lansing, but they recently opened in East Grand Rapids. Cory and I visited with friends a few weeks ago and had such a wonderful meal. This steakhouse offers something for everyone and the service is top notch. I loved the salmon and side of mushrooms!
House of Wine
If you and your significant other love wine head over to House of Wine downtown. Build your own charcuterie board and enjoy a glass or flight of wine. Cory and I love trying new wines and this is the perfect spot to do that. I also noticed on Instagram that they no offer oysters which is exciting!
Reserve Wine & Food
For a great dinner, dessert or glass of wine check out Reserve Wine & Food downtown Grand Rapids. I’m slightly obsessed with their cacio e pepe if you didn’t already know that. They have a great wine list with so many different options, and trust me the desserts are delicious.
Marcona on Lyon
Marcona on Lyon has partnered with MoKAYA for a special Valentine’s Day menu. I love that they offer an omnivore option and vegetarian option for the menu and everything looks so good. I mean you can’t go wrong with amazing food and incredible chocolate right?
