Visit the Grand Rapids Art Museum
If you haven’t seen Intersections at the Grand Rapids Art Museum a rainy day is a perfect opportunity to check it out. This piece was actually part of ArtPrize a few years ago and if you didn’t have the chance to see it then you’ll want to go now. I always see new things each time I view the piece and kids seem to really enjoy the shadows on the wall.
Try The Ruse Escape Room With Friends
Have you done an escape room before? Trust me I was a little skeptical at first, but doing The Ruse Escape Room with friends was so much fun! Grab some friends and try one of the escape rooms and you might just learn a few new things about your friends. I loved seeing each of us using or gifts and talents in different areas trying to solve the clues and we made it out with just a few seconds remaining.
Go to Fowling Warehouse
If it’s a rainy night why not try the Fowling Warehouse with friends? If you haven’t tried fowling before its like football and bowling put together. This game is fun to play with a group of friends and the perfect way to escape the rain.
Eat at the Downtown Market
How about a progressive meal at the Downtown Market? When it’s raining I can’t think of anything better than being surround by some amazing food like sushi, tacos, ice cream and wine which you can find at the Downtown Market. You and your friends can each order different items and try them together. The best part about this is you can try something new and forget all about the rain.
Find a new book at the Grand Rapids Public Library
One of my favorite activities when it rains is reading a book. If you can’t decide what to read or you want to browse some different books head to the Grand Rapids Public Library. I always get lost in the rows of books discovering new things to read and add to my list. I’m currently reading Grace Not Perfection by Emily Ley that I found at the library.

Those croissants from Field & Fire in the market are awesome. We get the ham and cheese ones for breakfast occasionally. I think I need to go down and get one now!
