A reader recently requested a round-up of my favorite murals in Grand Rapids which I obviously couldn’t say no to. We are fortunate to live in a city that prides itself on featuring amazing art from talented artists (hello Artprize). I hope you get the opportunity to explore downtown to see some of these murals for yourself and if you have any ideas of things you would like to see on The GR Guide please send me a message.
You can find this colorful mural on Division in-between Oaks and Cherry. Grab a drink at Rockwell & Republic and then make your way over to this amazing piece of art.
In case you get lost you can find your way with the G Rap Map found on the west side of Sheldon. Pick up a new book at the Grand Rapids Public Library and then make your way over to this Grand Rapids mural.
Bring your kids to The Grand Rapids Children’s Museum and you can find this stunning mural. I’m slightly obsessed with how detailed this piece is.
As part of ArtPrize you can see this mural on Fountain and Ionia St. Take some time to look at all the different elements in this piece!
My favorite mural can be found at the corner of Granville and Wealthy downtown. I’m in love with the colors and pattern of this bright mural.
