Good morning! Who’s ready for a cup of coffee? If you’re a coffee lover like myself this is the post for you. I’ve rounded up my top 5 favorite coffee shops in Grand Rapids to enjoy a coffee, latte or espresso. Check out my picks below and let me know where you love to grab coffee in Grand Rapids.
1. Madcap Coffee
If you work downtown a stop at Madcap Coffee before work or by 3 PM is a must (I would know). I’m slightly obsessed with their nitro cold coffee that gives a smooth and refreshing flavor to the typical cold brew coffee. It’s also important to note each of their coffee blends has a special story and personality.
2. Lightfast Coffee
On a Saturday morning I love shopping unique pieces for my home at Bluedoor Antiques with a coffee from Lightfast Coffee. I can’t get enough of the coffee from Lightfast, but what I like even more is their support in the artist community of Grand Rapids. You’ll find pieces from local artists on the walls and they even have a supply exchange section where you can exchange art supplies – so cool.
3. Ferris Coffee & Nut
If you’re on the West Side or downtown you know Ferris Coffee is a great spot to grab coffee with a co-worker or friends. I love that Ferris is a family-owned business (since 1924 which is pretty amazing) and they definitely care about their product and building relationships with the community.
4. Lantern Coffee
It’s true what they say that Lantern Coffee is a great place to gather and drink good coffee. You’ll find Populace Coffee at Lantern along with some of my local favorites like GR Bagel. I’m also excited to find art from local artists and keep this in mind they offer table reservations if you have a meeting downtown.
5. Lyon Street Cafe
A trip to Lyon Street Cafe is a weekend routine for a cup of coffee followed by a stop at Nantucket Bakery and Martha’s Vineyard. Lyon Street Cafe is the perfect spot for meeting friends or a client and enjoying a coffee (PS their pastries are also amazing).
