It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for…I’m doing a book club! Many of you have reached out with interest in doing a book club, so I’m excited to debut this for August. Picking a book was probably the hardest part in starting this (no joke). I’ll probably do a poll for the next book on Instagram stories so I can get some feedback on what you want to read. I would love to do a mix of fiction and non-fiction, as well as books that challenge us and create a discussion. But, for August I picked a book I’ve been dying to read this summer, and one I think you’ll enjoy.
The GR Guide Book Club
If you’ve been following me on Instagram you know I’ve really enjoyed reading. Especially with my broken foot, I’ve found more time to read. Many of you loved the idea of starting a book club together so I’m thrilled to launch this today. This first book pick and discussion is going to be a trial run to see how many of you are interested and if we can (hopefully) meet in person soon. At the end of August I’m going to do a blog post with some q&a content about the book, and possibly do an IG Live or something so we can discuss it together. If you have any suggestions or comments you can leave a comment below or email me at info@thegrguide.com.
August Book Club Pick
The August book club pick is “The Last Thing He Told Me” by Laura Dave. I picked this book because it’s been on my list to read this summer, and it takes place in Sausalito. Cory and I just visited Sausalito while we were in California for our anniversary and really enjoyed our afternoon there. You can read a full description of the book here. I actually just finished the book last night because I couldn’t put it down. This book is a quick read and perfect for your final summer vacations.
