The Best Cozy Restaurants in Grand Rapids

It’s that time of year again where you just want to enjoy comfort food by a fireplace. Do you know what I mean? When the weather gets cooler and the snow starts falling it’s time to think about cozy restaurants in Grand Rapids. Cory and I made a list of our favorite restaurants and bars to visit during the fall and winter here in GR. What spots would you add to the list?

Cozy Restaurants in Grand Rapids

Paddock Place

Cory and I LOVE Paddock Place during the summer, but I think it’s even better during the winter. Paddock Place has two fireplaces that are so cozy when it’s freezing outside. This is a great spot to enjoy a drink or dinner with friends or a date night.

Rose’s

Enjoy a view of the lake by the fireplace at Rose’s. Head to Rose’s for lunch or dinner to enjoy this cozy spot with friends.

Butcher’s Union

You guys know how much we like Butcher’s Union. I enjoy their patio during the summer, but it’s also a great restaurant during the winter months. You can’t go wrong with their cocktails and the fun atmosphere at Butcher’s Union. It’s definitely worth the wait for a table!

Divani

If you haven’t had dinner at Divani yet you’re missing out. This is our go-to spot for a date night when the weather starts to get cooler. FYI Cory says Divani has the best burger in Grand Rapids!

Bowdie’s Chophouse

We really like Bowdie’s Chophouse in East Grand Rapids for dinner during the winter. This cozy restaurant is great to enjoy steak, seafood and a fabulous glass of wine. PS don’t miss out on their grilled caesar salad.

Margaux

Cory and I recently visited Margaux in the JW Marriott with friends. We had such a good dinner that we immediately said we need to go back ASAP. I love the interior at Margaux, and it’s easy to walk the skywalk from the parking garage during the winter.

Nonna’s the Trattoria

Craving pasta? Make your way to Nonna’s the Trattoria in Ada for a cozy dinner. If I’m in the mood for a good pasta dish during the winter this is where we go.

Cozy Bars in Grand Rapids

Lumber Baron Bar

Lumber Baron Bar might actually be my favorite bar in Grand Rapids. I love how cozy this bar is, and the cocktails and amazing. I like to park at the Amway Grand parking garage and take the skywalk over during the winter.

Buffalo Traders Lounge

If you want a great cocktail in a cozy space check out Buffalo Traders Lounge. This is a fun spot to enjoy a drink with friends during the winter!

Max’s South Seas Hideaway

Dreaming of being somewhere warm? Head to Max’s South Seas Hideaway and enjoy an adventurous cocktail. This is such a fun spot during the winter to have a drink or dinner!

GR Noir

Cory and I love GR Noir for a glass of wine and some jazz music. GR Noir has self-dispensing wine machines (which is so cool), and awesome happy hour specials.
