Can you believe this is the last week of summer? Many of you know I absolutely love these summer months in Michigan and to be honest I’m not quite ready to say goodbye to these warm days. So instead I’m going to truly savor these summer days in Grand Rapids and I hope you do as well with a new 411 in the 616 this week. Grab your dog for a community dog walk with Nature of the Dog – GR Dog Walking Company starting at Creston Brewery on Wednesday, August 30 at 6 PM.
Thursday:
Try a free tasting of Uncle John’s Cider at Craft Beer Cellar on Thursday, August 31 from 4-7 PM. Cheers!
Celebrate with Vander Mill at their last block party of the summer on Thursday, August 31 from 5-8 PM. You can enjoy food, hard cider and their famous cider donuts at this family friendly event.
Head to Wheelhouse for the Signature Chef Series Dinner on Thursday, August 31 from 6-8:30 PM. You can try a 5 course meal from the chefs at Wheelhouse, Mangiamo, Vander Mill and Creston Brewery and a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Kids’ Food Basket.
Friday:
Trust me you don’t want to miss The Found Cottage Mercantile Market on September 1-2! You’ll find a ton of amazing finds from vintage vendors, enjoy food from local food trucks and live music.
Do you love seafood? Make your way to Kingma’s Market for the Seafood Road Show from September 1-2.

Saturday:
