The 411 in the 616: Goodbye 2016

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! I know you’re probably exhausted from endless holiday parties, but there are some awesome events going on this week in Grand Rapids. With the end of the year coming to a close (can you believe that?) it’s time to say goodbye to 2016 and ring in the new year. Check out these fun end of the year events, some great local links and my current obsessions.

End of the Year Events:

Keep the Christmas spirit going and see You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown at the Grand Rapids Public Museum presented by stageGR from December 26-31.

Work off your Christmas dinner and decompress with a Family Fun Power Flow at The Funky Buddha Yoga Hothouse on Monday, December 26 from 12:30-1:30 PM.

Cheers to Fido & Stitch on their one year anniversary! Celebrate with them on Tuesday, December 27 from 5-7 PM and enjoy free dog treats, happy hour, free nail trims and more.

If you love watching A Christmas Story don’t miss the musical at Broadway Grand Rapids from December 27-30.

Head to Harmony Brewing Company on Wednesday, December 28 from 11 AM – 11:45 PM to try Bourbon Barrel Aged Winter Nights. Cheers!

Do you love the movie Night at the Museum? Go to the Grand Rapids Public Museum for Night at Your Museum on Wednesday, December 28 from 6-8 PM. Enjoy an interactive evening and see exhibits come to life!

If you enjoy coffee (and who doesn’t) make your way to Madcap on Friday, December 30 from 11 AM – 12 PM for an Ethiopia Cupping. A roaster will lead you through a tour of the roastery, learn about the cupping process and take home a bag of Ethiopian coffee.

Start the new year off right with some yoga at Twisted Hot Yoga on Sunday, January 1 from 6-7 PM. Sign up soon before this class fills up!
