It’s my favorite week in Grand Rapids…Restaurant Week GR! Guys, can you believe this is the 10th anniversary of Restaurant Week GR? Restaurant Week GR starts on August 7 and runs through August 18. I truly look forward to this week each summer to try new restaurants or some of my go-tos and try different dishes. If this is your first year doing Restaurant Week GR check out this post from Experience Grand Rapids with 10 fun facts to learn more. Here are some of my tips for making the most of Restaurant Week GR along with some of my top picks that I want to visit. Enjoy Grand Rapids Restaurant Week!
My Restaurant Week GR Tips:
The Experience Grand Rapids website has all the details for what restaurants are participating and menus. Visit the site to map out what places you want to visit!
Make reservations at restaurants that accept reservations. Restaurant Week GR is a popular time for people to dine out so if reservations are available I would totally make them.
Be open to trying new things. I think my favorite part about Restaurant Week GR is being able to try something different. Visit a new restaurant, order something you wouldn’t typically order, and don’t forget to have fun.
Bistro Bella Vita
If you’re looking for a great spot to meet up with friends and do Restaurant Week GR try Bistro Bella Vita. The menu here looks amazing with plenty of choices that everyone will enjoy. I’m looking forward to trying the panzanella salad, market fish and chocolate mousse. This restaurant also has an optional beverage pairing (for an additional cost) for the Restaurant Week GR menu which is fun.
Butcher’s Union
You just can’t go wrong with Butcher’s Union for a date night out. I love sitting on their back patio to enjoy the summer weather with great food and drinks. The Restaurant Week GR menu includes two courses and I have my eyes on tomato salad and striped bass.
Divani
Divani is one of my favorite date night spots with Cory. I actually had a chance to preview the Restaurant Week GR menu at Divani with Experience Grand Rapids last week. Let me tell you it was amazing and now I want to go back with Cory. Divani offers a three course menu with optional wine pairings (for an additional cost) for Restaurant Week GR. You start with the garden vegetable gazpacho and my sister and I couldn’t get enough of this. It was so fresh and a perfect start to the meal. I really enjoyed the papadew-cheese ball and grilled vegetable skewers. Check out the rest of the menu here. Thank you Divani and Experience Grand Rapids for inviting me to try these items!
