After spending so much time in our home these past couple of months I decided to make a few updates. I’m sure a lot of you have been feeling the same way. Some of these updates are small decorative changes, and some (like the lighting) have been more hands-on projects. Here are a few recent purchases we love in our home right now.
Recent Purchases We Love
The Bedroom
Our nightstands are pretty tiny because of space constraints in our bedroom. So having bedside lamps isn’t the best use of space when you factor books, electronics etc. that also live on these nightstands. I found these plug-in wall sconces on Amazon, and absolutely love how they transformed our bedroom. We have more room on our nightstands, and I love the detail it added to wall.
I also made some changes to our curtains in the bedroom. I added this curtain ring clips, and linen look curtains from Target. Compared to our dark drab curtains these have been a breath of fresh air in this room. I should also mention if you’re on the hunt for a new laundry hamper this is one has been so useful in our bedroom.
The Kitchen/Dining Room
I promise a full reveal of the kitchen/dining/bar area is coming soon. We hope to have our punch list of items (including drawers on the end of banquette) knocked out next month. Fingers crossed! In the meantime I’ve been trying to get some necessary items like chairs for the table, pillows and our countertop stools. Stay tuned for more photos and items from the kitchen!
The Bathroom
I said goodbye to our old shower curtain and bought this waffle weave shower curtain from Target. I love our light and airy it makes our bathroom feel since we don’t have a window to provide natural light. I also purchased this wastebasket to hold extra rolls of toilet paper and this white bath mat.
The Living Room
I also updated the curtains in the living room with these light filtering curtain panels from Target. I love the natural color of these compared to the dark gray color we had before. I’m working on styling our mantle and side table in our living room so I recently purchased this vase and candlestick from Pottery Barn.
