Our day in Epcot last month was truly magical. We only spent one day at Walt Disney World so we went all out and enjoyed each minute we had at Epcot. I should note that we didn’t spend our whole day in the World Showcase. We did Soarin’ as soon as the park opened, and made our way to Living with the Land and Spaceship Earth during the afternoon. Test Track was closed while we were here, but I just wanted to point out Epcot has so much to offer and explore. You don’t need to spend all day eating and drinking at Epcot.
I hope this guide helps if you’re looking to try food and drinks from the World Showcase. Please note that Cory and I split most everything we ordered, and I would HIGHLY suggest doing this with your friends and family as well. Please drink responsibly, and enjoy what each country has to offer other than the food and drinks. You might just learn something new while you’re here. Also, I included the quick-service options that we enjoyed in each country in Epcot. If you want to enjoy table service meals (lunch or dinner) you should make reservations at the restaurants before you visit. There are some amazing restaurants in each of the countries, but reservations are highly recommended. I hope you enjoy this guide to eating and drinking around Epcot!
My Guide to Eating and Drinking at Epcot:
When it comes to choosing where to start eating and drinking at Epcot I don’t have an easy answer for you. Some people choose to start at Mexico or Canada and go around in order. We chose to skip around because this worked best for us. In my opinion you should start and end where you want. Keep in mind the fireworks at the end of the night, and where you want to enjoy them with dessert or a drink.
Norway
Make your first stop at Norway because let’s be honest you need to get in line for Frozen Ever After. Unless you have a Fast Pass for Frozen you can expect to wait at least 60 minutes for this ride. Cory and I waited about an hour, but trust me it was worth it for this ride. After you’re wait for this ride head to Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe located in the Norway pavilion.
This is a great opportunity to grab a morning coffee or start drinking a Norway Einstök White Ale. Pair your coffee or beer with their well known School Bread (a sweet roll with custard and coconut) or the Lefse (flatbread rolled in cinnamon and sugar). We loved the White Ale and the Lefse bread!
China
I think the China pavilion in Epcot is absolutely stunning! If you’re a big tea drinker like my Mom this is the place to try it. From bubble tea to hot tea to cocktails you can find something refreshing at Joy of Tea. I would suggest sharing an egg rolls or the curry chicken pocket which you can also find at the Joy of Tea stand. Otherwise head to Lotus Blossom Cafe for pot stickers or lychee ice cream that’s easy to split.
While you’re in China make sure to walk around and enjoy the gardens. This is such a peaceful escape from waiting in lines etc.
Germany
For your next stop make your way to Germany. It’s time for a pretzel and beer from the Bier und Brezlen cart in the Germany pavilion. As you can see from the photo below this pretzel is HUGE. As I mentioned above we spilt everything, but don’t even consider eating one of these on your own. Pair this pretzel with a Schofferhofer Grapefruit Beer (so refreshing on a hot Florida day).
I should also mention if you love caramel and chocolate you should check out Karamelle-Kuch in the Germany pavilion. The desserts in here looked incredible!
America
I have to be honest we skipped the food and drink options at the America pavilion in Epcot. I mean it’s totally your call, but if funnel cake or a White Claw is calling your name go for it. FYI Disney just opened a new restaurant – Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts and Smokehouse which wasn’t open when we visited. We just wanted to experience food from around the world so we skipped this from our tour.
We did however see The American Adventure Show which is a great opportunity to rest, enjoy some air conditioning if it’s hot, or brush up on your American history.
Japan
Ready to escape to Japan? Cory and I stopped at the Kabuki Cafe for some chilled edamame and a refreshing Sapporo beer. You could also try the sake, sushi or Japanese shaved ice at the Kabuki Cafe. We sat in the pavilion and enjoyed this snack while watching Matsuriza play traditional Japanese drums.
We also loved the shopping in Japan and watching people pick a pearl at the Mitsukoshi Department Store.
France
Being in the France pavilion brings me right back to my time in Paris. It’s one of my favorite spots in Epcot and I’m so excited for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure to open this summer (I’m obsessed with the Ratatouille movie). While you’re in France I would highly recommend grabbing a glass of champagne along with some macarons from Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie. You also can’t go wrong with a croissant, baguette, croque monsieur or meringue which can all be found at Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie. Let’s be real, I could have tried one of everything.
I would also suggest checking out L’Artisan des Glaces if you really have a sweet tooth. Here you can find ice cream, sorbet, and the famous macaron ice cream sandwich. Take some time to shop the makeup and perfume or do a sing-a-long with Belle from Beauty and the Beast.
Canada
We’ve made it to Canada! Honestly this maple popcorn and Moosehead beer was one of our favorite snacks of the day. The maple popcorn tasted very similar to caramel corn but better (trust me). You can find both the popcorn and the beer in the popcorn cart in the Canada pavilion.
While you’re in Canada be sure to check out the massive waterfall and the beautiful gardens. You can also enjoy Canada: Far and Wide in Circle-Vision 360 if you need a break or some air conditioning.
United Kingdom
The highlight of visiting the United Kingdom were these fish and chips and meeting Mary Poppins. We stopped in the Rose & Crown Pub and ordered fish and chips along with a black and tan (half Bass ale and half Guinness). We also managed to grab a seat outside Rose & Crown which was perfect for enjoying this together. FYI you can also order fish and chips and a beer from Yorkshire County Fish Shop.
While you’re in the United Kingdom you can meet Mary Poppins, Pooh, Tigger and Alice from Alice in Wonderland. I would also suggest listening to the live entertainment in the gazebo in the back garden area!
Italy
Cory and I obviously couldn’t get enough of all things Italy while we were in Epcot. It brought us right back to our time together in Venice and Rome. We really love Aperol Spritz so we went to Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar. Here you can find wine or cocktails along with some amazing cheese and meat plates. If you have a sweet tooth don’t miss the gelato from Gelati in the Italy pavilion. We found our favorite taralli crackers in Italy so these were a must for us with the Aperol Spritz.
If you want to explore the Italy pavilion don’t miss the incredible architecture, the gondolas, or throwing a coin in the Neptune Fountain.
Mexico
We’ve made it to Mexico! Bring on the guacamole and tequila. We waited for a table at La Cava del Tequila and it was worth the wait. We enjoyed the house margarita along with the chips and guacamole. If a flight of tequila is more your thing you have over 200 options to choose from. Cheers!
After your snack make your way to the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros. This ride was one of my favorites as a kid and a classic when visiting Epcot.
Morocco
I feel like Morocco has one of the most beautiful pavilions in Epcot. Visit the Tangierine Café and try some hummus or the cous cous salad. For a drink head to Spice Road Table where you can order a Casa Beer from Morocco or try a signature cocktail.
While you’re in Morocco be sure to stop in some of the shops or just walk around. The scenery in the pavilion is stunning! PS you can also meet Aladdin and Jasmine here.
I hope you enjoyed eating and drinking at Epcot with me! For more Florida content check out my guide to Vero Beach, Florida.
