Save the date for Restaurant Week Grand Rapids happening August 8-19. If you haven’t tried restaurant week or you wait all year for this like I do there are some great restaurants participating so get ready. My favorite part about restaurant week is the chance to try something new like a new dish or a new restaurant here in Grand Rapids. So my first recommendation is not to be afraid of trying something new. And don’t fear if you’re vegetarian or vegan or have a dietary restriction there are still many options available! You can actually scroll through each restaurant participating and check out the menus that are available.
Also, there are options for lunch and dinner and different pricing depending on how many courses are included. Check out the specific pages of each restaurant participating to see the menu and pricing. Some of these restaurants also take reservations which can be helpful during restaurant week!
1. Linear
Here’s an example of a restaurant I’m excited to try for restaurant week because I still haven’t been to Linear! I know that might sound shocking that I haven’t been there, but I’m really excited to try this spot because I heard the food is amazing. They also have steelhead as a feature entree and so many great choices!
2. New Hotel Mertens
You guys know I love New Hotel Mertens and if you haven’t been here yet now is the time to go! They are offering a great lunch and dinner option for restaurant week including my favorite vegetable tartine for lunch and the steamed mussels for dinner. Also included as an option with the restaurant week dinner menu is the amazing profiteroles which I just love.
3. Grove
One of my favorite spots for restaurant week is always Grove. You just can’t go wrong with the innovative dishes and many amazing options available for each course. I’m always in awe of the food when we eat here and if you haven’t tried Grove before this is a great opportunity to stop in and give it a try.
4. Cygnus 27
I typically love visiting Cygnus 27 for a drink to enjoy the view, but I’m actually really excited for their restaurant week menu! With monkfish as an entree option and a chocolate almond cake for dessert I can’t wait to try this menu.
5. Reserve Wine & Food
One of my favorite spots for wine also has an awesome menu for restaurant week! Even if you don’t like wine the food at Reserve is always amazing and they have so many other options for drinks that we always enjoy. The heirloom tomato salad, Michigan brook trout and seasonal house made ice cream all sound so good on their dinner menu.
