Let’s be honest, having fun when working out can be a real struggle. Sometimes just motivating myself to get out the door and go to MVP Athletic Club at Crahen can be difficult. If you’re like me and need some inspiration to make fitness fun scroll down for some of my favorite tips. Also, if you have any tips or tricks for motivating yourself to workout please share them in the comments below!
1. Get Your Tickets for Movers & Shakers at MVP Metro
I attended the Movers & Shakers event last year and had a blast working out, sipping cocktails and trying some delicious food. This year MVP Metro Club is hosting the event on August 24 featuring your choice of Yoga, Zumba, Group Ride, Group Fight or Training for Warriors classes. After class you can reward yourself with a cocktail from Coppercraft Distillery or The Mitten Brewery, and appetizers from Slow’s BBQ. The best part is 100% of proceeds from the event will benefit the Children’s Healing Center.
2. Workout with Friends
One of the best ways to have fun working out is with a friend (trust me). It’s so much easier to know someone else is by your side motivating you or making you laugh along the way. Meet your friends for a group class or just catch up while working out on the treadmill.
3. Challenge Yourself
You might think I’m crazy for telling you to challenge yourself when working out can be a challenge enough. Hear me out because if you challenge yourself to try something new you might actually enjoy your workout. Sign up for a new class or try a fitness trainer that can help you achieve your goals and motivate you along the way.
4. Celebrate Those Small Victories
Don’t overlook those small victories of running one more mile, learning a new yoga pose or just making it to the gym at 6 AM on a Wednesday morning. Don’t be afraid to set small goals and celebrate your achievement.
