I’ll admit winter is not my favorite season, but Grand Rapids has some amazing activities and events during the winter months to make it a little easier until spring arrives. I’ve got a full list of 15 ideas to add to your bucket list this winter to keep you busy and distracted from the cold and snowy weather. 1. Andy Warhol at The GRAM
If you haven’t seen the Andy Warhol exhibit at The Grand Rapids Art Museum get over there right now. The exhibit ends on February 11 and trust me you don’t want to miss this.
2. Christmas and Holiday Traditions Around the World at Frederik Meijer Gardens
Obviously Christmas is over, but if you missed Christmas and Holiday Traditions Around the World at Frederik Meijer Gardens you still have time to see this exhibit. Stop by before January 7 to learn about different holiday traditions with your family.
3. Ice Skating in Rosa Parks Circle
You can’t go through the winter months in Grand Rapids without ice skating in Rosa Parks Circle. This is a perfect activity for your family, a group of friends or date night.
4. Catch a concert at 20 Monroe Live
Check out the lineup at 20 Monroe Live to catch one of your favorite bands and enjoy a night out with friends.
5. Try an Escape Room
Escape the cold and snow and try an escape room with a group of friends at The Ruse Escape Room.
6. Check out LaughFest
Get ready to laugh with a great lineup of comedians at LaughFest! You can get tickets now for this event beginning in March.
7. Enjoy Broadway Grand Rapids
Catch a show at Broadway Grand Rapids this winter! This is a fun idea for a date night on the town.
8. Take a cooking class at The Downtown Market
Learn a new skill and try a cooking class at The Downtown Market this winter! They offer classes for all skills levels for both adults and kids so don’t miss out.
9. Go Skiing at Cannonsburg
If you enjoy skiing head on over to Cannonsburg. If skiing isn’t your thing you can also try tubing with your family and friends.
10. Enjoy a Griffins Game
You can’t beat $2 beers and $2 dogs on Friday nights at the Griffins. Plan your next date night and enjoy a hockey game!
11. Cheers to the 13th Annual Winter Beer Festival
If you love beer don’t miss the 13th Annual Winter Beer Festival at Fifth Third Ballpark with the Michigan Brewers Guild. You can still get tickets for Friday!

13. Get outdoors at Blandford Nature Center
Take a hike or enjoy a family event at Blandfold Nature Center this winter. They have a great hiking trail and fun events for the whole family.
14. Visit the Meyer May House
If you haven’t visited the Meyer May House this is a perfect time to take a tour. You can check out tour times on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday to see this incredible Frank Lloyd Wright home.
15. Go Sledding
