It’s that time of year again where the cold, rain/snow and less sunlight are upon us. I’ll admit this really isn’t my favorite season (I’m totally a summer girl), but I’m determined to make the most of it. I feel like during the summer Cory and I have such an easy time planning date nights around outdoor spaces or walking to some of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. With the weather changing it’s time to start thinking outside of the box for date ideas in Grand Rapids. So here are some of my top picks for planning your next fall date.
Studio Park
On a rainy cold night why not head to Studio Park downtown and see a movie? Studio Park has reclining heated seats plus the option to have food or drinks delivered to your seats. How great is that? It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a date night this fall.
Robinette’s
It doesn’t get much better than a date to the apple farm during the fall. Head to one of my favorite’s Robinette’s for some apple picking, getting lost in a corn maze, eating pumpkin spice donuts, and wine tasting.
Wax Poetic Candle Bar
Get creative with your date and try creating your own candle at Wax Poetic Candle Bar. They have so many different scents that you can mix together to make your signature scent. Grab a drink or dinner at Terra before or after your candle making.
Fowling Warehouse
Cory and I had such a fun time at the Fowling Warehouse last fall with our friends. Grab a drink from the bar and get competitive seeing how many pins you can knock down.
The Woodhouse Spa
On a chilly afternoon doesn’t a couples massage sound amazing? Head to the Woodhouse Spa for a relaxing couples massage that helps you unwind and de-stress.
GRCC Cooks
Did you know you can take a cooking class at GRCC? GRCC Cooks offers workshops with hands-on cooking classes that are great for couples to enjoy on a date night. Whether you’re an experienced cook or just learning these are fun classes to learn new tricks and recipes.
The Ruse
Have you tried an escape room? Cory and I tried The Ruse escape room last year with some friends and had the best time. This is a great activity when the weather gets cold to enjoy an activity indoors.
Progressive Dinner
Can’t decide where to go for dinner? Why not try a progressive dinner so you can try multiple places. Pick one restaurant for appetizers, another restaurant for dinner, and another restaurant for dessert. Cory and I have loved picking these together or surprising each other with different spots to have a progressive dinner.
