Next week is Valentine’s Day! If you want to celebrate with your significant other or BFFs I’ve got some fun ideas for you. Scroll down for 5 ideas to celebrate Valentine’s Day in West Michigan.
Downtown Date Night
Make your way downtown Grand Rapids for a special date night on Valentine’s Day. Spend some time walking around to see World of Winter. There are some pretty amazing art installations and activities to enjoy with your significant other. You could also try ice skating at Rosa Parks Circle together. If you would rather be indoors take a stroll through the Grand Rapids Art Museum, play some duckpin bowling at Woodrows or see a movie at Studio Park.
After your downtown activity enjoy dinner at MDRD, Reserve, Bistro Bella Vita, Butcher’s Union, or Luna. Or just grab a drink at Lumber Baron Bar, House of Wine, New Holland Brewing or Knoop.
Galentine’s Ideas
Looking for something to do with your girlfriends? There are some great Galentine’s Day events happening in West Michigan. You could make beautiful floral bouquets with Huff and Bloom Floral Co. + Sloan Delores Flowers. Or you could head to Dime & Regal for their spark party which looks really fun. Lee & Birch in Rockford is doing a shopping and charcuterie event. You could also stop by I’m an Artist in East Grand Rapids to paint and enjoy snacks from Fromage.
Date Night at Home
Don’t feel like leaving the house? No worries! Stop by Martha’s Vineyard to pick up a bottle of wine, some items for a charcuterie and/or dessert. We love their wine selection and the great selection of cheeses at Martha’s. Or order your favorite takeout and watch a movie or have a game night at home. Cory and I like getting takeout from Maru Sushi, Quarantino’s and Terra. You could also make my sugar cookie recipe and have fun decorating cookies with your family.
Take a Drive to the Lakeshore
By default we always think about Holland, Saugatuck and Grand Haven during the summer months. But, why not enjoy the lakeshore during the winter months as well? Take a drive to see the lake and then grab dinner at your favorite lakeshore restaurant. Cory and I love Butch’s in Holland, The Southerner in Saugatuck and Snug Harbor in Grand Haven.
