Who’s ready for fall?! Whenever a new season approaches it’s fun to try new things in Grand Rapids with friends or a significant other. I’ve rounded up some great fall date ideas to try the next time your stumped on what to do together during these next few months. Enjoy!
Head to a Coffee Shop
What could be better than enjoying a fall spiced latte or dark coffee outside on a chilly afternoon. Take your significant other to Outside Coffee this fall to check out the new igloos they set up!
Pack a Picnic
Cory and I recently packed a picnic on a Saturday afternoon really enjoyed spending some time outdoors together. We’ve gone downtown and also Frederick Meijer Gardens to stroll through the gardens.
Visit a Haunted House
If you like being scared (this isn’t my favorite) check out a haunted house together. The Haunt is a popular option in Grand Rapids.
Visit a Brewery
We live in beer city so why not check out a brewery? Cory and I have quite a list of ones we haven’t been to yet and Brass Ring Brewery is at the top of our list!
Pick out a New Book
Fall is a great time to cozy up with a new book that you can read. Challenge each other to turn your tv off for an hour and read together instead. Looking for a book? Head to Books and Mortar!
Go to the Farmers Market
We love our Saturday morning dates to the Fulton Street Farmers Market. Grab a coffee at Madcap and stroll the farmers market for some local produce. Maybe pick up some ingredients to try a new recipe during the week?
Get Lost in a Corn Maze
There are so many great apple orchards that also offer a corn maze here in West Michigan. We love trying the corn maze at Robinette’s on a warm fall day.
Try a New Cocktail
During the chilly months we love making our way to the Lumber Baron Bar in the Amway Grand. The atmosphere is cozy and the drinks are amazing.
See a Scary Movie
If you like scary movies make a date night to check out one of the Meanwhile films at Wealthy Theatre.
Pick Apples
Take an afternoon to pick some apples together at a local orchard. We absolutely love honeycrisp apples and spending time together outdoors.
