With the long weekend coming up I’m setting some time aside to rest and relax. We have a ton of yard work planed for Memorial Day weekend, but I’m also prioritizing self-care. I put together a list of six self-care ideas that I truly enjoy. Scroll down to get the full of self-care ideas! What are some of your favorite ways to practice self-care?
Self-Care Ideas:
Get Some Fresh Air
With the weather getting warmer and the sun staying out longer this is the perfect time to enjoy some fresh air. Take a walk, go for a run, head to the beach or just spend some time reading a book outside. After a long and cold winter, it’s time to enjoy the nice weather.
Have a Spa Night
One of my favorite self-care ideas is having a spa night at home. Give yourself a manicure or pedicure or put on a face mask and just relax. Watch one of your favorite movies while enjoying your spa night or pick up a new book. This is a great way to unwind after a long day.
Get Organized
I’m all about spring cleaning right now. It feels so good to get organized, clean out my closet and give my home a little refresh. I’m planning a trip to drop off some donation items this weekend. Keeping my home organized always makes me feel more at ease.
Put Your Phone Down
Put your phone down and get outside or pick up a book. I’ve been trying to be better at leaving my phone at my desk while watching TV or going for a walk. I don’t need the extra distraction of looking at a screen.
Read a Book
Put your phone away and pick up a new book! If you need some book ideas be sure to check out my book recommendations in this blog post. I love reading a new book from the library in my backyard on a warm sunny day.
Start a Journal
One of my goals this season is starting a journal. I love this planner/journal I got in the Women’s Collective Spring Box. Whether you write a gratitude list or just scribble some thoughts, this is a great exercise for self-care.
