Are you a morning person? I have to admit I’m more of a morning person than a night owl. I’m sharing some easy ways to have a better start to your day with these six tips. Trust me sometimes it’s really difficult to have a good morning, but these ideas can help get your day off on a better foot. What are some of your tips to having a great start to your day?a
Don’t Look at Your Phone
Obviously you have to look at your phone at some point during the morning. But, I’ve been leaving mine alone until after I’m done with breakfast and a cup of coffee. Staying off my phone for at least a half hour when I wake up has really helped reduce my stress in the morning. Not to mention just being more present instead of scrolling Instagram or answering emails.
Write Down What You’re Grateful For
Take a few minutes before you start working to write down 2-5 things you’re grateful for. Putting yourself in a grateful mindset is the best way to start your way. Trust me!
Exercise
Starting with some exercise is a great way to begin your day. If you can make it to the gym for a morning workout that’s awesome. If you can’t go to the gym try some simple stretches or a little yoga at home before heading to work.
Enjoy Your Coffee & Breakfast
I always start my morning with a cup of coffee (we love our Nespresso machine) and bowl of cereal. Enjoying my breakfast and coffee for 10-20 minutes uninterrupted is something I really need each morning. Take this time to jumpstart your day with a good breakfast and your favorite type of coffee. PS these banana carrot muffins are also an easy and quick breakfast idea!
Make a To-Do List
Making a list in the morning is the best way to accomplish your goals or to-do’s throughout the day. You can keep a list on your phone or write them down in a notebook so you can cross off items throughout the day.
Play Music While Getting Ready
To get me motivated in the morning I listen to music while getting ready. I feel like upbeat music is an easy way to get me in a good mood to start my day.
