I can’t believe we’re almost to the end of August! Where did the summer go? There’s still time to take advantage of the warm weather and enjoy some fun activities around town. Here’s a list of great events happing this week in your weekly 411 in the 616.
End of Summer Events:
Grab your friends for happy hour with the Oddest Supply Company at The Downtown Market on Wednesday, August 24 from 4-9PM. Play a game of corn hole with a craft beer or cocktail and enjoy a special food menu from Slow’s BBQ, Social Kitchen + Bar, and Rocket Pies. This is the perfect way to celebrate the end of summer with friends.
Stock up on some shoes for Fall from brands including Cat Footwear, Chacos, Hush Puppies and more at the Wolverine Worldwide Super Mega Tent Sale on Thursday, August 25 from 8AM-6PM. All proceeds from the sale will benefit Heart of West Michigan United Way.
A beer and a movie is the perfect combination so head to Perrin Brewing Company on Thursday, August 25 at 8:30PM to see Life Aquatic (movie starts at 9:30PM). Be sure to bring your blanket or chairs to watch the movie located in the back of the brewery. Cheers!
If you’re a dog lover Fido & Stich is having a Block Paw-ty on Saturday, August 27 from 12-3PM with a photo contest, a sneak peek from City Built Brewery’s beers and food, samples of products for your dog, and even doggy ice cream cups from Furniture City Creamery.
Because Michigan made products are the best head to the Downtown Market on Sunday, August 28 from 10AM-4PM for the Pop-Up Marketplace. This pop-up features local treats and artisan gifts all made in Michigan! I would suggest brunching at Social Kitchen + Bar with friends and then shopping some pretty awesome Michigan products.
