Noteworthy Events
Get your fitness on with Pure Barre at the Blue Bridge downtown on Wednesday, September 14 at 7:30PM. This fundraiser for the Van Andel Institute is a great way to give back and enjoy the beautiful sunset. Pure Barre is also staying in the spirit of giving by offering donation classes from September 15-17.
New Holland Brewing is opening their doors in Grand Rapids on Thursday September 15 at 11AM! I can’t wait to check out this new addition to Grand Rapids and try their lunch and dinner menu at the Knickerbocker.
Woosah is releasing their new Fall line with a party on Thursday, September 15 starting at 5PM. You can meet guest artist Lucy Engelmann, enjoy spiked cider and donuts and get a sneak peek of Woosah’s ArtPrize submission.
Happy 5th birthday 6.25 Paper! Celebrate on Thursday, September 15 with refreshments, treats, raffles and a gift for the first 20 people after 6PM. This is the perfect time to pick up some cards or a new planner for 2017.
Get some Fall fashion inspiration at Runway Off Wealthy with Lee & Birch on Thursday, September 15 at 6PM. Enjoy music from DJ Adrian Butler and drinks and bites from local restaurants while watching the show. A portion of ticket sales will benefit Kids Food Basket and you can also bring food items to donate.
Celebrate ArtPrize at The Grand Rapids Art Museum with GRAM After Dark on Friday, September 16 starting at 9PM. You can enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, admission to the new Past/Present/Future exhibit, and music from three local DJs.
Beer City Barre is celebrating their grand opening on Saturday, September 17 opening at 10AM. There are free classes at 11AM and 2PM but space is limited so be sure to register online. You can also celebrate on the rooftop from 5-9PM with some food and drinks.
You know Fall is on the horizon when Brewery Vivant hosts their Wood-Aged Beer Fest. Tickets for this event are $35 and included 10 tasting tokens and a souvenir tasting glass on Saturday, September 17. Rain or shine there are over 20 beers to sample and food to enjoy under the tents.
As a vegetarian I’m excited to check out VegFest on Sunday, September 18 at the DeltaPlex. This event will feature local and national vegan businesses with food, cosmetics, clothing and wellness coaches.
