Whether you’re celebrating Valentine’s Day with your family, significant other, girlfriends or by yourself I’ve got you covered. I’m not typically a huge Valentine’s Day kinda girl, but given this time we’re in I’m all about having something to celebrate. You know what I mean? Here are some fun ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day at home.
Make a Special Dinner
Get all the ingredients to make a special dinner at home for yourself or your significant other. You can make your favorite recipe together or try something new. Need some ideas? This shrimp and lemon risotto is one of our favorites (you could also do lobster risotto). You also can’t go wrong with this shrimp linguine.
Try an Indoor Picnic
Get our your picnic blanket and set up a picnic in your living room. Just creating a different space for dining can be really fun. You can serve sandwiches or create a charcuterie board with some of your favorite local items. This could also be a fun Valentine’s Day activity with kids.
Create a Spa Day at Home
Order a new skincare mask and nail polish and enjoy a spa day at home. This Essie nail polish is my new favorite if you’re looking for nail polish. Turn on a romantic comedy and enjoy a relaxing afternoon.
Stream a Virtual Concert
Anyone else miss going to a concert? There are a few artists doing virtual concerts that you can stream at home for a date night.
Do a Fun Craft
Get the kids involved in a Valentine’s Day craft. Here are some easy Valentine’s Day crafts to do with your kids.
Get Outdoors
Cory and I recently did snowshoeing with Freedom Paddle Co. and had so much fun! They also have a snowshoe date night package that’s great for Valentine’s Day. You could also take a hike together or enjoy a long walk with your dog.
Have an Unplug Day
Put your phones away and have an unplug day for Valentine’s. This really helps to stay present with each other, and not worry about constantly looking at your phone.
Do a Valentine’s Day Brunch
How about a Valentine’s Day brunch? This is a fun idea to do for your family or with your girlfriends. I recently posed this recipe for baked french toast that’s amazing for brunch. You could also try my favorite monkey bread.
Order Take-Out and Dress Up at Home
Support your favorite local restaurant for Valentine’s Day and order take-out! Cory and I love ordering from Terra or Reserve here in Grand Rapids. You could also dress up for dinner and wear your favorite dress that’s been hanging in the back of your closet.
Have a Movie Night
Pick some of your favorite romanic comedies and have a movie night at home! Pop some popcorn, get your favorite candy and put your pajamas on for a Valentine’s Day movie marathon. This is also a fun activity to do with kids!
Make a New Cocktail
Cheers to Valentine’s Day! Make your favorite cocktail together or try something new. This Hugo Spritz is one of our favorites!
Do a Puzzle or Play Board Games
Get a new puzzle or order some family friendly board games to play for Valentine’s Day! Cory and I have been loving puzzles lately, and this one from Rifle Paper was one of our favorites.
I hope you enjoyed these fun ideas to celebrate Valentine’s Day at home! Have a great Valentine’s Day friends.
